Maidstone Town Hall

Built in 1752, The building was originally used as the magistrates court. Above the Council Chamber is the old prison cell still with graffiti carved by prisoners awaiting deportation.

The Town Hall is now home to the Maidstone Town Hall Visitor Information Centre, providing a first-class service for visitors and residents needing to know what's on, where to eat or stay the night, and how to spend a delightful day in the County Town.
For more information call 01622 602169.

The Town Hall is open to visitors by appointment and group tours are available by prior arrangement.
